Social Emotional Learning (SEL) workshop

Date: July 15, 2023 The Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) workshop offered an opportunity for educators to grow their ability to take SEL into their professional and personal lives. From the very beginning, the workshop fostered a warm and inclusive atmosphere, starting each session with check-ins and mindful pauses. These moments of reflection and resetting set the tone for a conducive learning environment, allowing participants to fully engage with the material.Participants explored the CASEL framework gaining insight into the theories that inform SEL practices. They also explored implementation science, understanding the key components and factors necessary for systemic implementation of SEL in schools.

Snapshot of participants’ feedback:

The SEL training program were meticulously designed and delivered. The pre reading as well as support materials provided were comprehensive, well-researched, I particularly appreciate the emphasis on evidence-based practices, which greatly enriched my knowledge bank. It was great learning experience, thanks!

It is a well-designed course with enough practical examples. I strongly recommend taking such trainings from Priyamvada Taneja Consulting.

The workshop on Social and Emotional learning by Priyamvada Taneja Consulting was conducted in an organised manner. The pre reading material set the tone for the day and the break out room interactions with educators from different institutions across India were meaningful. Heartfelt thanks to the facilitator for the enriching learning experience. Looking forward to applying our learning to our classrooms.

It was a fantastic workshop to understand the role of SEL in daily teaching learning process. It offers pathways to deepen own self-awareness, empathy, and social skills, which help to enrich Social and Emotional Intelligence. The course entails discussions, concrete tools and strategies for conflict management, stress reduction, and resilience which empower the teachers group to not only do SEL activities but to be an SEL educator.
