Leadership workshop: Creating a positive culture to improve teaching and learning

Date: March 19, 2021 A group of dedicated school leaders joined Helen O’ Donoghue with our latest workshop focussing on school culture its impact on teaching and learning in schools. There was a lively debate and discussion on what leaders can purposefully do to create a positive culture. School leaders collaboratively looked at how they can encourage teachers to go the ‘extra mile’ and become more leaderful within the school to impact the learners.

The group looked at Hofstede’s Insights into Organisational Culture and took a deep dive of their own setting reconnecting with their school vision to create an action plan towards improvement. It was a really enjoyable to work with so many dedicated leaders going the extra mile after a long day of work for their students.

Here is a snapshot of the feedback of school leaders who attended the workshop: My experience with the ‘Creating a Positive Culture for Teaching and Learning’ workshop conducted by Priyamvada Taneja Consulting was great. Helen, our workshop leader, was very articulate and facilitated great conversations and interactions. Clearly, she is an expert in this area and there were some useful takeaways from the workshop…particularly useful was discussions around John Kotter’s 8 step process for leading a change.

The ‘Leadership workshop: Creating a positive culture to improve teaching and learning’, was a true learning experience even for a seasoned leaders. Interacting with a diverse group of leaders, was enlightening as well. Helen as the facilitator, kept us on the right track and helped weave the workshop into a meaningful and purposeful study on leadership and how school culture and climate can impact student learning.
