Making learning visible – documenting of/for/as learning

Workshop Overview

Making thinking and learning visible are important components of every impactful learning process. They accompany all elements of the curriculum – the written, planned, taught and assessed and create amazing opportunities for making meaning, transferring learning and reflecting on learning (assessment). The very act of making thinking and learning visible, meaningful and shareable is reflected in documenting of learning, for learning and most importantly DOCUMENTING AS LEARNING.

The aim of this workshop is to support educators in exploring a variety of strategies and tools for all facets of documenting learning. Teachers will be able to build an understanding and a bank of documentation types and have an opportunity to clearly differentiate between documentation and display. They will unpack and practice protocols for community documentation, creation, collection and curation as well as access a variety of new media and literacy tools for documentation.
