Building Cultures of Thinking and Inclusion

Date: November 18, 2023 In this workshop, teachers and leaders were introduced to two approaches for taking ownership of and enhancing classroom culture for learning and inclusion: Cultures of Thinking from Harvard’s Project Zero and the Landscape Model of Learning by Principled Learning. Through engaging in practical activities and discussions, participants acquired the skills to cultivate a resilient learning culture suited to their classroom and teaching style, while also enhancing differentiation and inclusion. The participants took back an understanding of each model and practical strategies to initiate their use in planning, differentiating, and designing the optimal learning culture for their students.

Sharing snapshot of participants feedback: The workshop on developing a Culture of Thinking and Inclusion was spot on with its focus on how to encourage inquiry and inclusivity in the classroom. I found the hands-on training sessions on the QFT very useful. The Landscape Model was a significant reminder of how we must recalibrate the perspectives we have on our learners, their competencies and goals. A much recommended workshop for all educators who wish to inculcate a vibrant Culture of Thinking in their classes.

Enjoyed to be a part of the workshop conducted by Cath and Priya. The practical concepts shared by them are the biggest takeaways.
