Building Teams through Coaching and ‘Positive Intent’

Date: November 14, 2020 Last week we completed another successful workshop on Building Teams through Coaching and ‘Positive Intent’. It was an opportunity to come together as a community of school leaders and reflect on how to create trusting teams with positive intent and focus at the very heart of our schools, improving learning for all students. We explored the Belbin Team Model and the benefits of coaching in our schools. We explored a number of models including BASIC coaching from Andy Buck and Michael Bungay Stanier’s Seven Questions that could help us develop a coaching habit with our team.

Thank you Helen for facilitating a very engaging, interactive and reflective workshop for us. Thank you to all the participants for their collaboration and commitment to engage in learning after a long day of teaching. Sharing snapshot of participants’ feedback…..

A very insightful workshop on how to build teams. Highly recommended for members of school leadership teams or for those that are thinking about becoming part of one. It has given me the foundations for making my team work more effectively, always thinking about what’s good for our students. Thank you for the excellent material used during the synchronous and asynchronous sessions.
