Workshop Overview
This workshop is designed for teachers seeking to enhance their instructional practices through use of the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework. Throughout the workshop, teachers will explore the various lenses of UDL which aim to support teachers in creating inclusive and engaging learning environments for all students. Participants will learn how to apply the three principles of UDL, namely multiple means of representation, action and expression and engagement to address diverse learning needs.
Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical examples, teachers will gain insights into designing instruction that caters to students’ varied abilities, interests and learning styles.Teachers will gain insight into how they can develop flexible learning experiences that accommodate a wide range of students.
The workshop will equip teachers with practical strategies such as providing options for accessing information, differentiating assessments, offering varied means of expression and fostering student collaboration. Participants will also learn how to leverage technology tools and resources to support UDL implementation effectively.
By the end of the workshop, teachers will possess a deep understanding of UDL and be able to design and implement inclusive and accessible learning environments that empower all students to succeed.
