Project based learning

Date: December 20, 2025 This workshop offered a deep dive into Project Based Learning (PBL) as a dynamic, student-centered approach to teaching and learning.

Across three days of live sessions and five hours of pre-reading, educators engaged with key PBL principles such as authentic inquiry, collaboration, reflection, and real-world application. Participants explored multiple models and strategies adaptable to diverse classrooms while examining how to design meaningful projects and frame effective driving questions.

The workshop combined theory with practical application, encouraging reflection and supporting educators in designing PBL units suited to their contexts.

It blended synchronous Zoom sessions with asynchronous learning, and participants completed pre-reading to fully engage with the experience.

Snapshot of participants’ feedback:

I really had a good time learning about the various new things. The workshop was great, and my biggest interest was from the teachers when they were sharing their experiences and strategies which they use in their schools

The PBL workshop facilitated by Eryn Wiseman was genuinely helpful and very relevant to my classroom practice. It helped clarify many of my doubts and apprehensions about PBL, especially around how to plan and implement meaningful projects in a way that feels realistic and manageable. The sessions were clear, well-paced, and grounded in real classroom examples, which made the learning practical and easy to connect with.

Your workshops are thoughtfully designed and truly enriching. The workshop helped me clearly understand the essence of Project-Based Learning beyond activities. The focus on student voice and real-world connections was especially valuable. The well-curated, research-based activities reinforced the importance of letting children think, explore and construct meaning. I feel empowered to design more authentic and meaningful PBL experiences in my classroom.
